Jessica Andrews Music Studio launched online piano lessons in 2013 to extend the reach of high-quality music education around the world. We recognize the need to make excellent music instruction accessible to all and offers interactive Private Online Piano Lessons in real-time to youth and adult of all skill levels through this platform.
Teaching Philosophy

In creating and nurturing “well-rounded” musicians, my primary goal is to make piano playing enjoyable and rewarding for each individual student. I take a patient and encouraging approach to cultivate a unique student-teacher relationship. For beginners, I aim for the right balance of teaching correct technique and fundamental music theory, while maintaining a fun and positive learning environment. For more advanced students, I strive to provide students with greater facility to express themselves at the piano. This includes working with technique, sound production, and musical ideas. My experiences as an active competitor and performer on the concert stage have brought me unique insights as a teacher. As I teach my students, they in turn inspire my own approach to performing with constantly evolving ideas.
Lessons
Jessica Andrews Music Studio is a place for music-making, serious study, much creativity and fun! Since 2005, Mrs. Jessica has taught private and group piano lessons throughout greater Seattle and beyond. She has limited availability and is currently accepting new students for online lessons only.
Lessons are open to all ages and all levels. Mrs. Jessica carefully structures her sessions and assignments to the precise needs of the individual. Her areas of focus for weekly lessons are geared to the goals of each student. Mrs. Jessica has worked with students ages 2 to 102.
Studying music is good for the brain and good for the heart. Being fluent in the language of music develops artistic independence, and Mrs. Jess’ students learn to read music well. Understanding how to listen is also a priority. Her students learn music, and they also learn the discipline of learning music. There are many variations to the word "fun" — easy fun, silly fun, but also challenging fun and intensely focused fun. Experiences in the studio help guide and support all that is involved with becoming proficient in a new ability. With time and dedication, students are able to become talented musicians and skilled learners.
Mrs. Jessica is able to work with many types of thinking and perception. She has worked with shy students, noisy students, smart, eccentric, and extraordinary students. She has had students with Autism, Tourette’s syndrome, Asperger’s, and ADHD. She has worked with ESL students and students with unique learning styles. Mrs. Jessica encourages students to bring out their brilliance. She knows that art and music transcend many boundaries.
